Objective: know score from assessment give by our instrument teachers
Today we got to find out the scores for our music assessment last week. I was really excited and at the same time feeling nervous because i wanted to get a good score. When i got my score i was so relieved because i got 10/10. I was really proud of myself for trying hard but next time i have to practice more. We also watched some people redo the test and we also watched the people who were absent. It was very entertaining and i enjoyed watching them play.

Music blog semester 2 week 7 day 2

OBJECTIVE: play baroque music assessment
Today in music class everybody had to play the song that people we picked that was related to baroque music. The piece i chose was from the suzuki book number 4 and my piece was concerto in A minor 1st movement. I was a little bit nervous when i played and i think i made a lot of mistakes and i hope i can get a good grade.

blog semester 2 week 7 session 1
Today Mr. John checked the booklets of all the students and I was mostly complete but next time I have to update the reflections in the internet in my blog so I won't have troubles doing my Baroque music playing assessment.

Today we were revising on the G major scale and Mr. Harry chose two from each instrument. I had a good time playing it but I have to practice more on playing my piece because I was not accurate with all the notes. Improving that would get me a good grade on my assessment.

Today I had to do an open book test on Johann Sebastian Bach. It was kind of hard but I managed to do the test well. But I think the fact that it was an open book test helped alot. It was really interesting.

Today we had to show the piece that we had to play for assessment and once I was picked I played my best in front of the class. But I think I should improve so I can get a higher mark.

Today we did our assessment. Before the assessment Mr. John let us practice for 40 minutes and then I was able to do it well.

Today we were told by Mr john what our next assesment was and it was on thursday. I think that our assesment was a write and and answer type of quiz and our material to study was the notebook for music and the reflection book which had lots of information that is useful for the quiz.

Today we had to sing Santa lucia for our assesment which was in front of the class and i sang it with nathan. It was intense and i was really nervous because i was not sure i was ready but turns out i was able to sing it properly but i had so little mistakes and i think it was the long note so i have to improve on my breathing skills so next time i can sing longer notes.

today we had to do the santa lucia rehersal. We also had to pick a partner and i choe nathan. It was really fun and i enjoyed singing together.

On thursday we got the assesment worksheet/ booklet and then we continued Santa lucia. I got better after practicing on the song.

On the first session of the week we had to saing a song called " santa lucia. it was hard because it was an italian sing so the pronounciation was hard so i have to improve.

On 03/27/12 i got a second chance to play again because last time mr. sadrakh was absent so he couldn't asses us so when he came he assesed me and after playing my song i got 10/10 and i was so glad and relieved that i got a good grade and i hope i can get good grades again

On march 26/03/12 we were asked by mr. john to play in front of the class. I think i played well and i strived my best and i hope i can get a good score

On 20/03/12 we were asked to perform in front of the class and i managed to do it well. Even though it felt kind hard because it was new i managed to do it well after reading the notes and writing the fingerings of each note.

On 15/03/12 we were told our scores for our finale and for our booklet. For my booklet i got 7.5/8 and for my finale i think i got 10/10.. Anyway i am proud that i tried my best but next time i should practice more.

on 13/03/12 we were asked to show our composition again but we had to show to mr. John and we also recorded the song picked by mr.John and that was theos and we recorded it and put a beat into it in the keyboard.

on 08/03/12 we were asked by our teachers to show our movements in front and we tested it with the music. We had few mistakes and we got the feedbacks from teachers on how to make our composition better. I felt proud on how we did.

On 28/02/12 for music i discussed with the class about our challenges. My challenges were the flat scales.I want to learn more next time

On 16/02/12 we had to write and finish our reflections. I finally completed already

On 14/02/12 I learned the chords. The chords were the first,the fourth and the fifth.

On 07/02/12 we learned how to write chords and all the other scales it was really fun.

On 02/02/12 we discussed flats and sharps. I realized that flats is harder than sharps but i managed to do it

On 24/01/12 i improved on my intervals and i also improved on memorizing the c major scale. Plus i was taught by Mr.Sadrakh.
